1 Program name and description
The text-message program is called Trialaro Research Digest (the "Program"). It is operated by Trialaro, a brand of The Nelson M Group LLC. If you opt in, we send recurring automated text messages to the mobile number you provided with educational information about clinical research and clinical trials, confirmations and service messages, and (only if you separately agree) promotional announcements about new digest articles and resources.
Trialaro is not a medical provider. Participation in any research study is voluntary.
2 How to opt in
You can join by completing the form on our Get Started or SMS Notifications page and checking one or both of the separate, unchecked consent boxes: (1) informational texts, and (2) promotional texts. We then send a welcome text that says “Text START to join” the program; you can also text START to the program number at any time to join or rejoin. You are never required to agree to receive text messages in order to use the Services or to buy anything. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
3 Types of messages and examples
- Informational: confirmation of your request, educational information about clinical trials and how to find public study listings, reminders about topics you asked about, and service notices.
- Promotional: announcements about new digest articles, and Trialaro news (only if you opted in to promotional texts).

We never ask you to reply with medical records, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive details by text.
4 Message frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on the topics you chose and the digest articles we publish. Most subscribers receive no more than about 8 messages per month. You may receive additional messages when you reply to us or request information.
5 Costs
The Program is free from Trialaro, but message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Contact your carrier for details.
6 How to opt out (STOP)
You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message (you may also use STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT). We will send a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and send no further messages unless you opt in again. If you opted in to both types of texts, STOP ends both. 8 Opting back in
If you stopped messages and want to rejoin, reply START to a previous Trialaro message or complete the opt-in form again.
9 Supported carriers and carrier disclaimer
The Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and many regional carriers. Carriers and their affiliates are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your carrier and your device's capabilities and coverage. Trialaro does not guarantee that every message will be delivered or delivered on time. The Program is for U.S. numbers only.
10 Privacy and mobile information
We respect your privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We may share information with service providers (such as our SMS platform and carriers) solely to deliver the messages and operate the Program. See our Privacy Policy.
11 Your responsibilities
You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide and are authorized to consent to messages on it. Please tell us if your number changes. Text messages are not encrypted, so please do not include sensitive health information in replies.
12 Limitation of liability and disputes
The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-resolution provisions (including arbitration and class-action waiver) in our Terms & Conditions apply to the Program. To the extent permitted by law, Trialaro, The Nelson M Group LLC, and our service providers are not liable for any delay, failure, or misdelivery of messages, or for any damages resulting from messages sent in accordance with your consent.
13 Changes to these SMS Terms
We may modify these SMS Terms. We will post updates with a new "Last updated" date, and where required we will request your renewed consent.
